Annotations to the Nuclear Disaster Guidelines for Preparedness, Response and Recovery

The Red Cross Nuclear Disaster Resource Center prepared annotations to the Nuclear Disaster Guidelines for Preparedness, Response and Recovery (Guidelines) to explain each section.

In the Guidelines, some events and perceptions behind what is written in it are omitted to keep the description of the Guidelines simplified. Therefore, the annotations to the Guidelines were prepared with the aim of helping the readers to better understand the Guidelines by explaining those events and perceptions.

It is assumed that the main readers of the annotations are JRCS staff members who will be using the Guidelines. Even if there are staff members who have no knowledge about nuclear disasters, or did not engage in relief activities that responded to the Fukushima Daiichi accident, the structure of the annotations allows them to understand the content of the Guidelines.
